Tow Moons

Two Moons ... that was what the prophecy announced; The moment that my being longed for had begun and, with it, my period of both total fertility and coldness, moments by which I was not controlled by Oblivion, I would not feel their shared presence within that shell which I called my body. As if for that moment, my essence had merged with the representation of my presence. But, something that seems too good to be true is usually too good to be true.

During the first moon, I remained locked in my royal room, being, from time to time, visited and attended by one of my magistrates. Assisting me in the search for knowledge; there was much to learn, but little of any relevance; very few beings, compared to the enormous number of existing beings, had something to enrich the intellect. But, of the few, I have been able to extract some truly significant phrases. Twelve hours would have passed and the moon was slowly retreating giving arise to the appearance of the second moon. This was the one that would decide the future of my possible offspring.
